We would like our alumni to stay connected with their alma mater. In order to engage them and benefit from their experience, they may be asked to help the university in:

  • Student Recruitment i.e. Counselling/Advising Sessions for graduating students, Mock Interviews, grooming sessions etc
    • Programs on career planning are very effective ways for alumni to interact with current students. Senior alumni with more than ten years of experience may be requested to volunteer to mentor current students on a regular basis and also share their experience and knowledge for the benefit of graduating students.
    • Mock Interviews is another way of getting the alumni engaged. As discussed in the previous meeting with alumni, they have shown keen interest in helping the graduating students through their participation in conducting mock interviews.
    • Senior alumni may be engaged in holding the grooming sessions on:
      • Personal grooming of current students i.e. mannerism & etiquette
      • Professional grooming i.e. sessions on CV writing, interview skills, writing a covering letter etc
  • Admissions: Make the success of MUL alumni visible to the outside world for better and more intake for next admissions.
  • Active webpage
    • Through an active alumni website the alumni can get connected to one another and also get updated information about the university.
    • Alumni portal can be used to post latest information about job/internship opportunities
  • Strong Communication
    • A robust communication plan needs to be in place. Alumni can be reached through different social media networks. Once connected these connections need to be maintained through constant communication.
  • Campus access
    • Easy access to MUL campus is important to alumni as the may be invited by different people or different schools to participate in various activities. Alumni cards and car stickers, memberships for different facilities at the university may be provided
  • Overall Engagement of alumni
    • as guest speakers, advisors in the development of curriculum and/or visiting faculty etc
  • Alumni Association
    • It is important to have an Alumni Association in place soon. Further details can be discussed with alumni i.e. Constitution, elections etc.
  • Homecoming/Reunions
    • Homecomings and Class reunions will be arranged on a regular basis to create stronger bond between the university and the alumni
